How do you set up your own project/how can you participate as an association or organization?

Where does your project need to be localized?
The submitted projects must be carried out in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region - see here:

Do I have to register again for each year?
No, a one-time registration as an organization is also sufficient for future campaigns. Log in with your existing user data and create a new project for a new campaign.
When you try to log in, you receive the message "This account is inactive.". What does this mean?
After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with a link that you must use to activate your user account. If the user account is not activated via this link, the user account will be deactivated after 7 days. In this case, please contact our
Support (foerderprogramme@hausdesstiftens.org)
Which organizations can participate?
All nominated organizations must be from the fields of education, sport, culture, ecology and/or social affairs, be based in Germany and be in possession of a valid non-profit certificate or non-assessment certificate issued by a German tax office. This is checked as part of the validation process by Haus des Stiftens.
Which organizations cannot participate?
  • non-profit associations of individuals or groups (e.g. GbRs), commercially oriented organizations (GmbHs, UGs, etc.)
  • Paid top-class sport/professional sport (e.g. Bundesliga teams)
  • political parties or organizations affiliated with them
  • Organizations based abroad
  • Organizations whose projects are carried out outside the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region
How do the donations come together?
As part of the BASF Glückscent program, BASF employees at the Ludwigshafen site can donate the amount after their salary. The amount collected is distributed annually to charitable projects in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region that have been nominated by BASF employees and selected by vote.
When does the campaign start: Timeline of the four phases?
  1. Glückscent 2024 starts immediately with the first phase, the project nomination. All BASF employees at the Ludwigshafen site have the opportunity to invite organizations until June 30, 2024.
  2. All nominated organizations have until 15.07.2024 to submit a project.
  3. Throughout September (from 02.09.2024 to 30.09.2024), all BASF employees at the Ludwigshafen site will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite projects.
  4. In October, the donations will be distributed to the projects with the most votes.
When will the winners be notified? (When exactly do we send out the prize notifications?)
The winners will be announced at the beginning of October 2024. The funds will also be distributed in October 2024.
Who pays out the donation?
Haus des Stiftens pays the donations to the over Förderprogramme.org bank details from the registration process.
As a recipient organization, do you have to issue a donation receipt/ donation receipt ?
No, if the transfer comes from the Haus des Stiftens, no donation receipts may be issued to the campaign owners (BASF) for the funds received. You do not have to issue a donation receipt to Haus des Stiftens as the remitter.
